Deidre Thornell’s first official EP, Destination Unknown, was released to iTunes on April 9, 2013.  Featured on the front page in the Country genre, under “New and Noteworthy," the first song “Looking For A Place To Shine” (Angela Lauer, Natalie Hemby) has had great audience and industry response. It was released as her first single in May 2013. This singer/songwriter from Texas with bountiful long red hair and a four octave range can certainly take command of any stage. Whether it’s a gut wrenching ballad that brings tears to your eyes or a high energy southern rock anthem complete with choreography, Deidre delivers this, and more every time she performs. She has appeared on the Chevy Main Stage and the Bud Light Stage opening for such artists as Wade Bowen, Josh Abbott, and Gretchen Wilson. Through the years, she has sung the National Anthem at many venues. Singing it in front of 80,000 people at the 2011 Dallas Cowboys/San Diego Chargers game was an experience she will never forget. Rising to the next level, she entered the Texaco Country Showdown, a national contest, and was the Southeast Regional winner. She joined 4 other regional finalists in Nashville to share the stage with Jewel at the Ryman Auditorium. She is now headlining at various venues and festivals, including opening for national acts like Grammy award winners, Diamond Rio. Deidre is currently in the studio preparing for the launch of her new material.

She has had the privilege working with talented and prosperous songwriters and producers such as Ron Grimes ('Sitting on Top of the World' LeAnn Rimes', “Destination Unknown” Deidre Thornell); Jacob Rice (Jacob Rice Entertainment, Sony/Warner Chappell/EMI/Warner Bros); Brian Desveaux ("Absolutely (Story of a Girl)" Ninedays - guitar/vocals); Melissa Bollea (founder/owner of Rhyme Partners.
